For years I used a few editing tools on my Mac, even paid for two, then had to use command line for GIT and another program for notes. I'm going to throw another one in here VS Code. Then add in Teams with over a hundred people editing a huge ass Excel spreadsheet or Word doc without any issues. But at work dealing with huge spreadsheets and having to build projections Excel is king. Now I know I'm sounding like a fanboy but seriously I'm not, I use open office at home since I just write your simple word docs. Seriously the whole suite of apps are so overloaded with everything you need to do pretty much anything.
